El Pla Verd, was born from the project of restoring some traditional farm buildings to make them our home. We have lived there since 1985, where our two children were born, grew up and played, learning to feel part of the place.
Pla Verd is our way of offering temporary holiday accommodation that helps us to preserve our family heritage and fulfil our dream of a landscape that started over 40 years ago, at the foot of the historic village of Sencelles, in the Pla de Mallorca.
The Pla de Mallorca is the sinuous central agricultural plain of this Mediterranean island, a sedimentary basin on the primordial sea of Tetis, between the protective mountain ranges of the Tramuntana, the Central and the Llevant, which emerged from this sea in the Secondary Era. For more than 5,000 years, it has been inhabited and cultivated by successive civilisations, who have left traces of their dreams and activities that have shaped its charming uniqueness to this day, on the fringes of mass tourism.
“El Pla” is increasingly appreciated by sensitive people who want to rediscover its natural, cultural, scenic and environmental qualities, which, together with its people, biodiversity, products and services, arouse interest in experiencing its sensual lifestyle, discreet, intimate and at the same time close to all the attractions of the island of Mallorca.
